Collectors of Australian banknotes would be fully aware how few genuine George V notes have survived in high grade. It has been estimated that over 90% of banknotes of this era that are described as Extremely Fine or better have been pressed and flattened to 'improve' their appearance. This note came to us directly from an ex Reserve Bank employee and is as crisp and new as the day it was issued excepting for a corner fold on the bottom left hand corner.
