Extremely rare in this grade and one of the finest known.
Commonly called the 'Newland' Pound after the Chief Cashier. Abraham Newland (1778-1807)

English paper currency circulated in New South Wales in the early years of the Colony and so it is likely that this note, which was found in Australia, was used in a local transaction. The date July 12, 1841 in penned in ink on the back.
